About the School

Sherwood College began in July 1869 as the Diocesan Boys' School, took its present name in 1937 and became co-educational in 1973. It is a CISCE-affiliated (ICSE/ISC) residential school for boys and girls from Class III to Class XII, on a 45-acre campus at Ayarpatta, Nainital, about 6,837 feet above sea level. Facilities include smart boards in classrooms, science, computer and robotics labs, the heritage Millman Hall and the 900-seat Baston Centre. It also has separate boys' and girls' hostels and three dining halls.
