Mount Hermon School was founded in 1895 by Emma L. Knowles of the Methodist Episcopal Church and later moved to its present estate at Singamari, North Point, Darjeeling. It is a co-educational Christian residential school, affiliated to CISCE for ICSE (Class X) and ISC (Class XII), and it admits both boarders and day scholars from KG. At the +2 level it offers science, commerce and humanities, plus hospitality management. The campus has physics, chemistry, biology and home-science labs and a library. Activities include music, dance, yoga and debate.
