About the School

American Embassy School was founded in 1952 by American families in New Delhi and moved to its Chanakyapuri campus in 1963, where some of the original stone buildings by architect Joseph Allen Stein still stand. It is a day school from Pre-K to Grade 12 offering an American curriculum with the IB Diploma Programme and Advanced Placement in high school. About 1,119 students from around 70 nationalities attend, on a 13-acre park-like campus with labs, performance spaces and sports facilities.
